Boy Crazy

Boy Crazy is a bold, fast-paced, and deeply funny exploration of love, self-worth, and the relentless pursuit of romance. This one-woman show unpacks a lifetime of seeking validation through love, told through journal entries, childhood memories, and hilariously disastrous dating stories. Don’t Call Me Blondie

“... Things can never just be easy, can they?” Six monologues. One hour. Love, heartbreak, and lust are - arguably - some of the most relatable yet alienating feelings a person can experience. These emotions are riddled with contradiction: pushing us to our limits, unearthing our deepest insecurities, and often leaving us unsure of who we are. In this bold and captivating collection, the characters of “Don’t Call Me Blondie” grapple with the messy, complicated truths of relationships, self-worth, and desire. From toxic love to the emotional fallout of infidelity, these six standalone monologues deliver raw, unfiltered insight into the quiet chaos of modern intimacy. “Don’t Call Me Blondie” is the debut play by Belle-Ann Daly-Morgan, a playwright and director currently studying Writing for Performance at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama (2027 cohort). A graduate of Elstree Screen Arts Academy, Daly-Morgan’s work is known for its brutal honesty and thoroughly human core. This also marks the launch of Daly-Morgan's theatre company, 'Echoism Productions'. As artistic director, she is committed to giving young, under-represented creatives a platform. Told with biting wit and emotional precision, “Don’t Call Me Blondie” offers an intimate snapshot of six people caught in emotionally charged moments - funny, flawed, and fiercely honest. Join us for an hour of confessions, connections, and contradictions.

One classically trained clown, a keyboard and an endlessly unfurling spool of string. Singer-songwriter Zoë spirals her way through a cabaret of songs as catchy as they are surreal: 'Existential Thoughts of a Freelancer', 'Floating Naked in a Magnesium Salt Bath With Your Mum' and the overthinking junkies’ all time favourite 'All Aboard the Spiral Train’. Unspooling her life onto the stage — while trying not to get tied up in string – Zoë is on a hunt to figure out what exactly she is hunting for. We meet DI Phil Atio, born within the sound of Bow Bells, who’s spent 10 years controlling the rough streets of East London. She’s downbeat, on her last legs, and her Cockney rhyming slang is getting worse. In bursts her new partner, DI Connie Lingus of the Sheriff’s department: Intercourse, Alabama. She’s armed, she’s new in town, and she sure does miss her brother’s warm, throbbing heart. They’re sent out in the field to investigate a new drug: Fentanyl Lithium Aluminium Peroxide Solude, a.k.a. F.L.A.P.S. 2024's version of the show is bigger, ballsier and Alabama-bound. The piece is jam-packed with 70s tunes, physical comedy and a threesome with a puppet. BEN WEAVER is in the city wearing his best suit, preparing for an interview eating a croissant, an almond croissant, when he witnesses a death. In shock, Ben does his best to help and picks up deadman's lanyard which is left on the floor. But as BEN puts the lanyard around his neck, he transforms into the deadman - BEN MANAGER, and begins his relentless rise up the building, and up the corporate structure at MONOLITH INDUSTRIES. Now he just needs to work out what the hell he's meant to be doing. The Unstoppable Rise of Ben Manager is an absurd satire about making progress, hitting targets and bullshit jobs. This is the first solo show from Jack Parris (Brighton People's Theatre, Bunkum Theatre) and is a wild, violent and absurd physical comedy with live scored music and songs. REVIEWS 'Simultaneously the most surreal and the most cuttingly perceptive show you are likely to see this Fringe' - Brighton Source 'Brilliantly capturing the sense of imposter syndrome in professional administration' - Reviews Hub 'The Office if David Lynch had directed it' - Chris on Theatre AUDIENCE FEEDBACK 'Captivating' 'Unique' 'Sensational' 'Physical theatre at its best' 'Overworked, underpaid, under appreciated. Would do it all again.' 'Everyone should see this' 'A phenomenal, thrilling piece of work' 'Incredible acting, brilliant idea'

Helsinki Noir

A satirical revue of events in Helsinki in the past year or so that transformed Finland from a neutral, peace-loving country to a militaristic, immigrant shunning, arms exporting, sabre-rattling member of the nuclear club, austerely stripping its welfare state to spend more than it can afford on its bristling armed forces. Figuring prominently in the show, staged by denizens of a dysfunctional Helsinki retirement home, are our luminary ex-PM, Sanna Marin, her new-found associate Tony Blair and swinging newly elected president Alexander Stubb. The show on Finland's transfiguration is acccompanied by a medley of Finnish music and song.

The Vagina Monologues

“Sex has never been funnier or more poignant” (New York Times). This was just one of the reviews of the initial book, from which the play The Vagina Monologues is born. It was first staged almost 30 years ago and yet is still very relevant today. The taboo around the vagina, the sexual violence, the ignorance about the female body and sexual pleasure are all issues in our current times. The play, written by V (Eve Ensler), is based on interviews of more than 200 women from different countries, ethnicities, social classes and religions, putting into words their relationships with their own sexuality, feelings, traumas, questions, joys and pains. The Vagina Monologues is a powerful, funny, moving and courageous text that will not leave anyone indifferent. It was also the start of V-Day, a movement against all sorts of violence against women. Performed by Juliet Prew, Cara Kiri and Aurore Padenou. Directed by Lorna Dempsey.

Woman. Life. Freedom

As Women, when are choices not really choices? Woman. Life. Freedom, a play made in response to the Iranian protests, follows Meera as she explores her relationship to herself, Islam and the choices many Muslim women in Britain struggle with. The conversation around Islam and a woman's relationship to her Hijab is complex and polarised in today's world. Woman. Life. Freedom adds depth to this conversation questioning how the patriarchy affects women. "Woman. Life. Freedom is a nuanced piece of writing that makes it clear that wearing a hijab should be a woman’s choice and not imposed upon her" - Everything Theatre. Through humor mixed with engaging writing, topics approached in ‘Woman. Life. Freedom’ such as anger toward the patriarchy and balancing responsibility with personal truth are held, understood and given space to breathe. This piece was made to spark discussions around Muslim women and the politicisation of their freedoms in a global context. Every part of this play was created by people belonging to the Global Majority, and their voices were centered throughout. Cast: Alicia Fernandes, Bushra Baig, Ayesha Parkar, Yusuf Naya, Lillie Pugh, Simon Pugh, Adi Roy Bhattacharya

Woman. Life. Freedom

WOMAN. LIFE. FREEDOM. discusses the complex issue of whether women can have full agency in a world that is inherently patriarchal. Can the decision to wear the hijab ever be an empowering decision to be made by a woman to show her faithfulness to God? Or is this something that will always be tied to the oppression of women? The play shows the internal debate of Meera while also exploring the external debates and pressures she feels in her workplace and relationship with her family. The current protests in Iran make the discussion of feminism and the hijab not only topical but vital. But this is a story which has been important for a long time. In the 1970s Iranian Revolution, women put on the hijab as an act of rebellion, but that symbol of freedom was then imposed upon them and now they’re ripping it off. Meera has a similar story of initially choosing to wear the hijab as a symbol of her religion and identity and as a response to rising Islamophobia. But now, like the women in Iran, she is choosing to take it off.
