The Perils of Youth; or The Gall of the House of Sud

"Mother. There is someone at the door. We have a visitor, mother, at this hour..." An ancient house. An unseen apparition. A wicked old crone and her pompous, disgraced son. And a family argument that lasts at least a thousand years. But who should make the first move? A haunting dream riff on families, envy, love and hate, mothers and sons, and the pain it takes to perform a single gesture of love, the Perils of Youth portrays the eternal struggles that reside within the family and the collective unconscious. And the terror of being alive. Written in sculpted, rhythmic language, this satire of the class system and the masculine artist archetype is a play for those who love the English language and the power of words to captivate, ensnare and attack. Blackly funny, menacing and unforgettable new writing.

Scaleno - One body, three voices

A woman onstage. One body. Three voices that refuse to agree. SCALENO – One Body, Three Voices is a bilingual solo performance exploring identity, language, and the difficulty of staying present. Performed in Italian, raw Neapolitan dialect, and English, the piece unfolds as an internal confrontation between a neutral self, a biting alter ego shaped by origin and class, and an artificial intelligence speaking British English through an onstage smart speaker. Language is not explained or softened. It collides. Surtitles are used selectively, allowing meaning to emerge without erasing difference. Structured around breath, geometry, and everyday rituals, SCALENO moves through themes of migration, queer desire, shame, and the pressure to conform. There is no healing arc, no neat resolution. Just coexistence inside a body that does not adapt. An intimate, low-tech, high-intensity performance for audiences willing to listen.

I'm Here and It's Ok

That's right, after a 20-year hiatus from the big-time bright lights star of The Good, The Bad & The Snugly, as seen on ITV's Jeremy Beadle's HotShots 1996, John James Davies is back with a brand-new show. The semi-improvised and entirely unfinished masterpiece, I'm Here and It's OK.

In Her Defence

In Her Defence is a bold new British musical comedy set in 1987, following Donna, a fiery single mum whose world is turned upside down when she discovers her husband's affair, only to find herself thrust into a messy custody battle that threatens everything she holds dear. As gossip spreads through her tight-knit neighbourhood faster than the morning post, Donna must navigate solicitors, awkward encounters, unexpected allies and the chaos of rebuilding her life while trying to hold her family together. With a sharp-tongued best friend by her side, a very questionable postman never too far away, and an ex-husband determined to rewrite history, Donna soon discovers that standing up for yourself is never as straightforward as it seems. Packed with outrageous comedy, heartfelt moments, and an original score bursting with wit, warmth and 80s-inspired energy, In Her Defence is a celebration of resilience, friendship and finding your voice when the world expects you to stay silent. Full of unforgettable characters, laugh-out-loud musical numbers and plenty of British charm, this brand-new musical proves that sometimes the strongest defence is refusing to back down.

Unpacked

Unpacked is an intimate one-to-one audio performance about the body, identity and freedom. Sitting at a table and wearing headphones, one audience member follows a series of simple instructions and encounters objects hidden inside a box. As the performance unfolds, the objects begin to form a fragmented body. The work asks whether we can leave the body behind, and what might remain of us if we do. The performance is unusual because it is quiet, personal and created for only one audience member at a time. There is no spoken text from the performer and no traditional stage action. Instead, sound, touch, objects and the audience member’s own choices create the experience. Unpacked turns the table into a small laboratory where the audience can explore embodiment and absence. *Unpacked was created with the support of the Gülriz Sururi – Engin Cezzar Theatre Incentive Award, presented by İKSV.

Behind Closed Doors

A raw and intimate two hander exploring a gay relationship pushed to breaking point. When Charlie uncovers Jude’s secrets, a late-night confrontation spirals into something far more dangerous. As trust collapses, themes of addiction, violence and suicide rise to the surface; exposing the fragile line between love and control. Behind Closed Doors is an unflinching look at emotional abuse, obsession and the devastating impact of betrayal. Stripped back and intense, the piece places audiences inside a relationship unravelling in real time; asking how far someone can be pushed before everything fractures beyond repair.

Unleashed

Directed by and starring Olivier Award-winning performer Nathan Dowling, Unleashed is the debut play from Siobhán Healey, an exciting new voice in British theatre. Through fascinating client encounters, provocative revelations and playful audience interaction, a Dominatrix unpacks shame in today's chaotic, judgmental world - exploring the cost of defying society's expectations. At its core, it's a show about identity - who we are, who we're expected to be, and the cost of living authentically. The show really captivated audiences at our Arts Council-funded preview in Coventry: 'Brilliant writing, funny, powerful, educational and immersive' 'The central message was clear and poignant, and vitally important.' 'Delightfully uncomfortable' 'Powerfully emotional and educational' Unleashed contains adult themes and frank discussions around sex. (As the My Dad Wrote A Porno podcast team would say - 'basically, all the good stuff'.) No one's getting naked, (except maybe emotionally,) but do expect fun audience interaction throughout.

Metamorphosis

A lifetime of invisible labour. This ferocious solo physical theatre adaptation reimagines Franz Kafka’s masterpiece through the lens of modern female burnout. Stripped of props, a single performer uses Berkoff-style expressionism to chart a corporate worker’s visceral transformation into a repellent insect. A disturbing nightmare about family exploitation and societal invisibility. This haunting adaptation examines the fragility of human relationships and the crushing weight of societal norms. An enthralling exploration of identity, transformation, and the darkness lurking beneath the surface of familial bonds.

Piercings, Tattoos, and Raw Dogging: A Travelogue

What happens when you treat a medical warning like a travel itinerary? Before departing for South East Asia, a nurse giving me the Hep-B vaccine gave me three simple rules to survive: No piercings, no tattoos, and no unprotected sex. Naturally, I did them all. This is a honest, unfiltered tale of "spiritual enlightenment," breaking out of the system, and learning to live with absolutely no regrets.
