A lot has changed in the world since 1979 but one of the few constants has been NewsRevue parodying politics and picking on people in power from Thatcher to Johnston. NewsRevue producer Emma Taylor and writer/cast member Althea Burey sat down with Chris Quilietti to talk about the magic behind the shows staying power, casting the right person; how funny a blackout can be; not pulling any punches when it comes to comedy and how they’ve been celebrating 40 year. Taylor also talks about her book, Pocket Producer where she shares her advice for bringing a sell out show to Edinburgh.
