This muddled play by Robert Lyons tries but fails to find bigger themes in a male schlub's midlife crisis. Steven Rattazzi plays Nick, an author who has retreated to farm life after his inflammatory book about the failure of liberalism caused a stir. His teenage daughter has taken his doctrines to heart and wants to actually pursue the radical actions that he only bloviated about. But that potential interesting theme is overshadowed by an abundance of middle-aged fantasies, among them that attractive women (Nick's estranged wife and a gorgeous neighbor) are eager to jump into bed with whiny, paunchy men (1:20).
