In 1918, the letters stopped and Lucy had to face life having lost her fianc and brother in the last few weeks of the war. This true story suggests the effects of this trauma on her life after WWI and how these might have been passed down through the generations. Using conversations from direct descendants of Lucy and stories gathered from the families of other women who suffered in a similar way, this play, with original music, explores the thousands of silent victims who rebuilt family and community life when the men did or did not return.
