Brighton Fringe: Opening Night Fireworks

Nestled underneath the magnificent St Peter’s Church, The Warren once again joined with Brighton Fringe to celebrate the opening of Brighton Fringe 2018 with a fantastic free firework display on Thursday 3rd May. The annual fireworks spectacular always draws in crowds eager to get the party started and this year was no exception.

What a stellar Brighton Fringe we have ahead of us

The Warren's opening night Pick of the Fringe: Launch Night Special, which provided a sneak peek of some of the most sensational acts as this year’s festival, performed to a sold out audience; an exciting indication of the incredible acts to come.

And what a stellar Brighton Fringe we have ahead of us. With over 4,000 performances ranging from tours exploring Brighton’s gay culture to hard-hitting theatre, heart wrenching spoken word, laugh-out-loud comedy and more, you’re sure to be spoilt for choice.

This year, Brighton Fringe has chosen to showcase our special relationship with Europe. Both the Dutch & Flemish season, which presents award winning shows fresh from Amsterdam Fringe, and the Finnish season, which gives a platform to quirky and innovative acts, are taking pride of place in this year’s programming.

Julian Caddy, Managing Director of Brighton Fringe, commented “As the largest annual arts festival in England and one of the largest fringe festivals in the world, Brighton Fringe is a huge event on the city’s calendar and one of the highlights of the summer.

With so much to see and do, it makes the perfect day out for all ages, providing everyone with the chance to immerse themselves in a range of activities and performances.”

Bigger, better and more fabulous than ever before, this year’s Brighton Fringe is not to be missed. To keep up with the cream of the crop, don’t forget to check out Broadway Baby’s unbeatable coverage for listings, reviews, insider interviews and more.
