Anthony Horowitz’s Mindgame to run at the Ambassadors Theatre later this month

Following the early closure of All or Nothing, Anthony Horowitz’s play Mindgame is set to run for three weeks at the Ambassadors Theatre, ahead of the opening of David Haig’s Pressure.

Mindgame will run at the Ambassadors Theatre from 16th May to 2nd June.

Mindgame is based on Horowitz’s novel of the same name, and premiered in Colchester in 1999, before transferring to the West End’s Vaudeville Theatre the following year. It starred Simon Ward, Christopher Blake and Helen Hobson.

It is about Mark Styler, a writer of true crime stories who arrives at a hospital for the criminally insane in the hope of interviewing a serial killer, Easterman, for a new book he is writing. While at the hospital, Styler clashes with the director of the institution, Dr Farquhar, about if and how the interview will take place.

Horowitz is renowned for his mystery novels, including the Alex Rider and The Diamond Brothers series. He has also written two Sherlock Holmes novels, and following his 2015 novel Trigger Mortis, his second James Bond book, Forever and a Day, is due out later this year.

Mindgame will run at the Ambassadors Theatre from 16th May to 2nd June.
