Another Op'nin', Another Show in the Glory basement.

After having trauma bonded during Not Another Drag Competition Season 3.0, these three drag idiots invite you to join them as they have fun queering some of your favourite musicals (even further).

Leave your troubles outside! So life is disappointing? Forget it! In here, life is beautiful! The parody songs are beautiful! Even your hosts are well interesting to say the least. Come and defy depravity as we subvert expectations with some razzle-dazzle, a step ball change, and a lot of silliness.
This show is for the queers who still know all the words to La Vie Boheme, who can compare Tonys opening numbers, and who pretend to be Patti Lupone in the shower. Theres a place for us, a time and place for usand its this show. Do you hear the people sing? You're about to.
Trust us, youll want to be in the room where it happens.

When all else fails, and in the year of our Lord 2023, it is, SEND IN THE CLOWNS.

WE ARE YOUR HOSTS

They could drive a person crazy, finally putting their formal training to good use, AIDEN STRICKLAND is what your mum means when she says you have Danny Beard at home. Aiden is a wacky, magical dickhead that just refuses to quit despite what everyone says. Hes got larger than life gags, wonderfully silly songs, and so much privilege he doesnt know what to do with it!

The name on everybodys lips is genderfuck urchin with the voice of an angel, CRUSTY! They're adorably debauched (adorabauched?) and their dazzling vocals will have you screaming PLEASE SIR, CAN I HAVE SOME MORE? If you're into gender revolution, obscure musical theatre references, or even a little bit of piss play - you're sure to find out why Crust most certainly is a Must.

Wait for it it's 66 year old Ted Lasso of drag, drag priest SWEET FA. Huddersfield boy gone God, Sweet FA is the answer to the question, what would happen if Alan Bennett did Sister Act? He's a love letter to queer Catholics, he's just a Holy fool, and he'll be your Father Figure, baby (with your consent, OFC.) Described as "so wholesome, it's punk" he uses comedy and music to skewer the church, state and kyriarchy, and to preach queer love and acceptance.

SPECIAL GUEST STAR

Say it loud and theres music playing, say it soft and its almost like praying, BEAU JANGLES! Suave, sexy and sophisticated, the one and only Beau Jangles is the vintage Casanova no-one can resist. Full of jazz-era debauchery theyll break your heart and youll thank them for it.

Doors 7:30pm, Show 8pm

Since you’re here…

… we have a small favour to ask. We don't want your money to support a hack's bar bill at Abattoir, but if you have a pound or two spare, we really encourage you to support a good cause. If this review has either helped you discover a gem or avoid a turkey, consider doing some good that will really make a difference.

You can donate to the charity of your choice, but if you're looking for inspiration, there are three charities we really like.

Mama Biashara
Kate Copstick’s charity, Mama Biashara, works with the poorest and most marginalised people in Kenya. They give grants to set up small, sustainable businesses that bring financial independence and security. That five quid you spend on a large glass of House White? They can save someone’s life with that. And the money for a pair of Air Jordans? Will take four women and their fifteen children away from a man who is raping them and into a new life with a moneymaking business for Mum and happiness for the kids.

Theatre MAD
The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
