Leon wakes up one morning to find a worm in his bed. He believes it is his boyfriend, Danny, who's worldly possessions have vanished from the flat. In an attempt to raise awareness and find a cure for his worm, Leon decides to invite a journalist to his flat to tell his side of the story. As they meet and she asks questions he cannot answer, Leon's world quickly unravels; but just how far is she willing to dig to unearth the truth? Would You Still Love Me If I Was A Worm? explores the work of weekly magazines and tabloids, and their exploitation of vulnerable individuals, in producing clickbait headlines. This is a show about how we consume modern media, and remove ourselves from the humanity of others experiencing seismic and emotional life events. A quick-witted, black comedy with elements of absurdism, this new piece of writing by Connor Wood and Ellie Cozens will have its audience questioning the truth, and demanding answers.
