The Sidiki Dembele Ensemble listing on Broadway Baby

Following his spiritually-charged 2024 Festival appearance, Sidiki Dembele returns to The Hub " this time, with his ensemble including a singer and a dancer.

A virtuoso of the djembe, a West African goblet drum with a remarkable range of pitches, Dembele hails from a family of griots who preserve oral traditions. The name of the djembe derives from the phrase anke dj, anke b, which translates as everyone gather together in peace in the Bambara language.

Rooted in the djembes power to unite, this concert explores West African rhythms and sounds, honouring the community-driven essence of Dembele's heritage.

The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
