Jakko Jakszyk, guitarist/singer with King Crimson, was born Michael Curran. His mother, a singer in one of Ireland's biggest show bands. Adopted by Polish and French parents, Jakko grew up wondering who he was. Going on a voyage of self-discovery: a heritage forged in war, displacement and exile, war-torn France, to Poland, to a terraced house in Hertfordshire. Tracing his mother to remote Arkansas, he found his far-right leaning siblings. A glimpse of who he might have become? Or would he find his spiritual home in the welcoming green of Ireland on the Road To Ballina.
