2017 is the 250th anniversary of the adoption of James Craig's plan for a planned, elite suburb which would eventually separate Edinburgh into 'Old' and 'New' Towns. To celebrate, Greenyonder Tours has been collecting stories of some of the people who have made the New Town: from the high heid yins, architects, and builders, to servants, gardeners, rioters and radical campaigners. The tour covers one mile of mainly downhill pavement walking, some slopes and uneven surfaces. We will finish at Jamaica Street.
