Moving from the UK to an English-speaking country or another part of the UK? Think youll be able to communicate in sign language? Think again! There is no such thing as a universal sign language, and the sign language world is divided up along very different linguistic lines to that of spoken languages. Researchers Mark MacQueen, Stacey Webb, Jemina Napier and Gary Quinn reveal the diversity of the worlds sign languages and the realities of moving country as a sign language user.
