The tragic story of a priest yielding to the temptations of the flesh, his mother trying to persuade him to redeem himself and his young passionate lover in a small timeless village. Freely adapted from the novel The mother by the Sardinian Nobel Prize winner Grazia Deledda. In this one woman show, the performer embodies the three different characters, mixing acting with physical actions and old Sardinian folk songs, which takes you to country life. The Harsh nature of Sardinia is a metaphor of primitive and mythical themes and emotions: duty, family, passion, spirituality.
