THE KHANDI SHOP presents KATS feat THE PUSSYCAT DAHLS
  • London Fringe

Pussycat dahls

In a world where the queer and drag and cabaret scene loves to put people to creat me super groups and commercialise ... basically theres a lot of white queens becoming girl groups and the scene is lacking some flavour, some gusto and some spice ... some real spice.

Enter the PUSSYCAT DAHLS, a super group made out of stars of stage, screen and magazine, this group of mixed southern Asian performers is here to blow you away, with the power of being brown and sexy and owning it, giving you the chance to own your truth too.

Started by the rich auntie herself miss MAHATMA KHANDI, they have strived to create a place for opportunities for the community that feel sometimes disenfranchised hence why creating this group was super important to them, they wanted to showcase the talents of their friends and the catalogue of songs from the calibre of girl groups that we dont get to see

BOLLY ILLUSION winner of LIPSYNC 1000, they are the perfect blend of current and culture, their work is truly fun, beautiful and energetic, and always memorable, catch this beauty on the stage or they will get their claws out! Trust, they got them

DOSA CAT seduction takes form in this next performer, classically trained yes but they exude more sensuality to even comprehend, using their beauty and skills to seduce every potential mate, watch this pussycat purr you into submission

KAAJEL this little kitty is a pocket rocket, they are a so creative, not only are they a beautiful crafter, painter, they are also a wonderful performer, distinguished dancer and a beautiful singer, probably the sweetest kitty of the dahls

NIKKITA CHADHA this pussycat is a celebrity, recognise them from ... everything, they are a sensation and a talent that spreads through tv adverts and Hollywood blockbusters, they are the famous yes but its only because they are true talent!

BINDIYA our final performer is the one with the warmest heart and the most elaborate performances, they think of every detail when it comes to their show, rich in cultural knowledge and a mistress of dance, enjoy this cat prowess as they piss it all that stage

Since you’re here…

… we have a small favour to ask. We don't want your money to support a hack's bar bill at Abattoir, but if you have a pound or two spare, we really encourage you to support a good cause. If this review has either helped you discover a gem or avoid a turkey, consider doing some good that will really make a difference.

You can donate to the charity of your choice, but if you're looking for inspiration, there are three charities we really like.

Mama Biashara
Kate Copstick’s charity, Mama Biashara, works with the poorest and most marginalised people in Kenya. They give grants to set up small, sustainable businesses that bring financial independence and security. That five quid you spend on a large glass of House White? They can save someone’s life with that. And the money for a pair of Air Jordans? Will take four women and their fifteen children away from a man who is raping them and into a new life with a moneymaking business for Mum and happiness for the kids.

Theatre MAD
The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
