The Headless Woman and Other Delights
  • Edinburgh Fringe

Through live storytelling, peep-boxes and projection, the audience are drawn into a story circle where ancient tales of boggarts and mermaids hold hands with contemporary accounts of supernatural landscapes and uncanny visitors. This show is a collaboration between storyteller Jacqueline Harris and artist Marjan Wouda. Delight in their kick, their lyrical moments, their sense of mystery, their kindness (Kevin Crossley-Holland, on Jacquelines stories). Here is someone whose work is indeed true sculpture. She gives an almost surreal twist to her work that immediately makes it thought provoking (Sir Kyffin Williams RA on Marjans work).
