The Cranston Fiddle tells the story of the Cranstons of Haddington " an ordinary family who suffered great loss during the First World War. Out of seven Cranston sons who served their country, only three returned, two with grievous injuries. Scottish Borders based Riddell Fiddles present a multi-age cast, telling this compelling tale though family photos, music and story written especially for the production. Through it all sings the sweet, lilting tones of the real survivor " the Cranston family fiddle. Supported by Heritage Lottery Fund 2014.
