Principal cellist of the London Sinfonietta and a member of the Fidelio Trio, Tim Gill joins composer/pianist David Gompper in two recitals featuring new and traditional 20th-century repertoire for cello and piano. The concert will highlight the well-known Britten Sonata in C Major from 1961. Also on the program will be new works for cello and piano by Zo Martlew and David Gompper. Martlew is a well-known cellist living and teaching in London, and Gompper is Professor of Composition at the University of Iowa.
