'Withnail and I meets The Hangover'
The morning after the night before, nursing their hangovers with just a little bit more booze, two actors doing (mostly) their best to break into the industry take a trip down memory lane. Sharing their respective experiences following the drama school they both left ten years earlier, they discuss their lives in the margins of show-business, from auditions, self-tapes and showcases, to being an extra (accessory?) in Tinseltown productions... so close and yet...
Bringing to life the people they have met along the way, including the bad (and possibly the worst) agents, as well as many other hopefuls that have generally not been very helpful, it is an honest, poignant and often funny behind-the-scenes look into the lives of struggling actors. A tragi-comedy, this play reflects not only those trying to break into the industry but many of those who have not yet quite figured out their places in the world, but who keep their dreams alive, no matter what.
A sensitive tribute to those waiting for The Callback, it will capture the audience's heart, through laughter and tears.
