This delightfully friendly and dizzyingly enthusiastic show is an informative and fun hour for both kids and their parents. Professors ‘Lexi Con’ and “Noel Edge’ go through each letter of the alphabet and perform an experiment, which is connected to said letter in some way. From [H]orror to [A]nnula the connections to experiments are either thematically linked or have components beginning with said letter.
A great time for any kid with a love of science, learning or having loads of fun
They begin the show with a cute, upbeat musical number, which gets the audience's attention and shows off their larger than life characters. This is then followed by the start of their 52 minute timer, which is how long they have to make it through the entire alphabet. The timer is a lovely addition allowing parents and children alike to know how long they have left before the end of the show.
The dynamic between the two performers is superb and a delight to watch. With Professor ‘Lexi Con’ talking the audience through what each word means and helping Professor ‘Noel Edge’ conduct all of his amazing experiments.
The experiments are gross, hilarious, fun, exciting, explosive, and semi-interactive and each one is different from the last. With a focus on physics and chemistry with a splash of lexicography thrown in through the use of alliteration, rhyme and complex words this is an exceptionally educational hour as well as an enjoyable one. There are bubbles, smoke, explosions and water pistols (for the last one it might be worth avoiding the front couple of rows). A family friendly show throughout, with the odd adult joke thrown in to keep the parents happy, this is simply a great time for any kid with a love of science, learning or having loads of fun.
