Told through the lens of teenagers on the verge of adulthood, a group of friends decide to camp in a public park, exposing the intricacies of youth culture and a generational temper of the times. The play Swings and Roundabouts also focuses on the normalisation of issues and avoiding diagnoses or help, whether this is mental health or not having a home, through dark comedy and authentic emotion. Our aim is to portray a brutally raw representation of the dangerous vibrancy that is the British youth, avoiding and rebelling against cliches and stereotypes.
