Steven K. Amos is back once again with his late night weekend chat show (as well as his regular stand-up slot every night). This year sees the addition of house band 'Axis of Awesome', who provided a couple of entertaining numbers in the show and are a great find.
After a bit of warm up patter from Stephen, he introduces a French Stylist who is going to comment on what the guests are wearing and offer them fashion advice. Frankly, this is the weakest element of the show, and needs to be re-thought as the comedy is poor and it doesn't fit well with the rest of the hour.
All chat shows are dependant on their guests, and Stephen is a top-notch comic able to attract some great names to his sofa. The night of the review included American Scott Capurro, who managed to shock most of the audience (and even the host at times) with his near to the knuckle material.
Stephen K. Amos comes across as one of the nicest guys in the Fringe, and is able to hold together a great show. With the right guests on the night this will be a barrel of laughs.
