The second concert of the Spring for Music series features this ensemble and the dynamic conductor Ludovic Morlot, who has galvanized the group and excited Seattle audiences since arriving as music director in 2011. The program offers Varse's "Dserts," Debussy's "La Mer" and, of special interest, the New York premiere of John Luther Adams's "Become Ocean," which last month won the Pulitzer Prize for Music. (The piece was commissioned and given its premiere last year by the Seattle Symphony.)
