Space Dogs
  • Edinburgh Fringe

Space Dogs is a historical comedy drama set in the early days of the Cold War. It tells the story of Strelka and Belka, two of the first living beings to ever reach outer space and return alive. We follow their rise from the slums of Moscow to international fame, frustrating their American primate competitors and JFK himself. Fusing historical vignettes with comedy and contemporary scenes, Space Dogs chronicles the early Space Race, exploring the boundaries of personal sacrifice, the fall of the USSR, inescapably reminding us of how the Cold War never truly ended.
