Set in the city slums of 1920s Australia and based on true events, Shadows of Angels sees four women recollect the part each played in a crime on one hot, volatile day. The horrific event set in motion an investigation and opened up a mystery from the past that connected these four very different individuals. Shadows of Angels explores the desperate lives and dangerous minds of female criminals, challenging ideas of gender, sexuality, poverty and crime. Featuring Fleur Murphys poetic language, a live original score by Kirstin Honey, and masterful direction by Iris Walshe-Howling.
