Rosie James follows a sell-out Brighton Fringe 2024 split bill (Rosie & Steph Are Alive with Steph Cassin) with her first Work in Progress solo stand-up hour. Rosies sunny disposition is somewhat undermined by a lifelong identity crisis, a nagging sense of existential dread... and quite a lot of crying. Her original comedic style mixes offbeat observations and personal revelations with simmering emotional undercurrents, smart punchlines and big laughs.Probably the funniest stand-up that I've ever seen. About town criers, that is. I heard a rumour shes gonna lean more heavily on that bit in her 2025 show, and add more stuff about how she cries a lot, and call it Town Crier. If true, thats genius. The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
