Rights and Responsibilities (or How a Horse Was Tried for Murder)
  • Edinburgh Fringe

A horse tried for murder? A nonsensical idea, surely? Well not after the great Animal Rights and Responsibilities Act 2031 is passed into law. After MP's expenses, the financial crash and phone hacking, it was always likely that our farming methods would cause the next scandal. Speaking for the first time, ageing lawyer Barnaby Allencourt QC explains how he led the first prosecution of an animal for murder and about the catastrophic unintended consequences of the trial. A witty, satirical and very silly show for all the family.
