Queer House Party - Trans Power
  • London Fringe

TRANS JOY. TRANS ART. TRANS RAGE. TRANS POWER.

Queer House Party demands more than visibility. We demand more than respect. We demand more than basic rights. We demand trans power all day every day so that our community can live in truth and solidarity with one another and our allies without fear and without shame. We dont want to be a sob story, we dont want to be an opinion piece, we dont want our existence debated and scrutinized. We want joy, we want space, we want noise, we want pleasure, we want to celebrate trans bodies and lives.

FEATURING

QUEER HOUSE PARTY resident DJs Harry Gay, Wacha & Passer will be joined by hosts Liv Wynter & Taali to guide you through the night of trans power. Not only that, were bringing Cassandra, Taboo, Danni Spooner & Dodo Potato with us!

WOOF is a neo drag platform that vows to Redefine Sexy and Redefine Drag. They aim to showcase bodies that never fit the cookie-cutter mold of what this alienating world calls sexy. They are here to take back our bodies, own our bodies, and take to the stage demonstrating any damn art we please. Ft. Chiyo, Margo Marshall, King Tito Bone, Freida Slaves & Micha.

PXSSY PALACE is an arts platform rooted in intentional nightlife, celebrating black, indigenous, and people of colour who are women, queer, intersex, trans or non-binary. They provide space to dance, connect and engage, whilst encouraging consent, sexual freedom, pleasure, expression, and exploration of our authentic selves. Ft. Mya & Lady Shaka.

There. are. no. words. for the energy this lineup will bring to the Queer House Party stage. Were still stunned and you are about to be as well.

Since you’re here…

… we have a small favour to ask. We don't want your money to support a hack's bar bill at Abattoir, but if you have a pound or two spare, we really encourage you to support a good cause. If this review has either helped you discover a gem or avoid a turkey, consider doing some good that will really make a difference.

You can donate to the charity of your choice, but if you're looking for inspiration, there are three charities we really like.

Mama Biashara
Kate Copstick’s charity, Mama Biashara, works with the poorest and most marginalised people in Kenya. They give grants to set up small, sustainable businesses that bring financial independence and security. That five quid you spend on a large glass of House White? They can save someone’s life with that. And the money for a pair of Air Jordans? Will take four women and their fifteen children away from a man who is raping them and into a new life with a moneymaking business for Mum and happiness for the kids.

Theatre MAD
The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
