Communication in Practice: Nonviolent Communication and Healthy Conflict
Conflict arises in every relationship. What if, instead of seeing it as an inherently bad thing, we saw it as an opportunity for growth? In this workshop, we will dive further into nonviolent communication in YOUR context. We will cover how to use empathy to step into the shoes of others, better understand their feelings and needs, listen actively, and practice expressing yourself authentically. You will be invited to reflect on a specific situation from your life, identify your needs and the specific requests you might take to get there, and explore the role of that power dynamics might play when we approach conflicts from a place of empathy and respect.
Tuesday, May 28th 8:30 - 9:30 PM
