From his cell in the early hours of the morning, Dr Harold Shipman breaks his silence to record a confessional tape, laying down his version of events as he prepares to take one last life.
Performer and playwright Edwin Flay, himself a grandson of one of the victims, teases out the choices, compulsions and fixations that drove Shipman. With unflinching candour, he dissects the motives of the most prolific serial killer of modern times, and interrogates society's attitudes towards death, justice and compassion.
A script-in-hand performance by Nailed Productions in association with The Courtyard Theatre.
Contains repeated descriptions of murder, and suicidal ideation.
