The RSA was founded during the Enlightenment by William Shipley in 1754 with the first meeting being held at Rawthmells Coffee House, Covent Garden, London. Its foundation sits in the middle of an era of enlightenment societies, many of which were founded in Scotland. This year RSA Scotland has chosen to focus on the modern enlightenment. In the RSAs second session, Neil McLennan (RSA Fellow and Fellowship Councillor for Scotland) will explore the concert of Positive Education and how it might support calls for CfE 2.0 and a Curriculum for Enlightenment in Scotland.
