Poetry LGBT Open Mic Night was launched by Andreena Leeanne in January 2015 and is a welcoming and affirming space for the LGBTQ+ community to come together and express ourselves through poetry and spoken word.

It is also a great space for us to be our authentic self, bask in community, speak our truth, build confidence & resilience whilst making friends and chosen family.

This venue is fully wheelchair accessible.

Open mic slots are issued inside the venue on a first come first served basis on the day of the event at 7pm

Poetry LGBT Open Mic also hosts 3 events online on Zoom during 2024. These events offer opportunities to connect with LGBT+ creatives worldwide.

CHARRED A survivor speaks her truth to inspire is Andreena Leeannes debut poetry collection which was published by Team Angelica and was shortlisted for a Polari First Book Prize.

CHARRED can be purchased with a ticket, inside the venue and online.

Theatre MAD
The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Acting for Others provides financial and emotional support to all theatre workers in times of need through the 14 member charities. During the COVID-19 crisis Acting for Others have raised over £1.7m to support theatre workers affected by the pandemic.
