A mother bequeaths her beloved piano to her children in a will, insisting that they keep it. They do not want it because of what it represents to them but they can not bring themselves to dispose of it. They are trapped by an idea. Think Waiting For Godot with a piano.The style of the work is influenced and underpinned by the theories of Peter Brook, Bertolt Brecht and Tim Crouch. Rob Thompson performs this play alone in a space and tells the story of the piano 35462, relying on the audience and their imaginations to create the artifice.
