Step back into the Edinburgh of the eighteenth century! Passing Likeness is a new verse drama by local writer Ash Caton. It tells the story of the life and times of John Kay: a self taught caricaturist living and working in the heart of Enlightenment Edinburgh. Through Kay and his portraits, you will meet a host of famous and infamous residents of the capital, witnessing some of the Golden Age's accomplishments, scandals and aeronautical disasters. A historical satire championing one of Edinburgh's unsung artists, this is a play of grotesque caricatures and still more grotesque originals.
