Parlour Song by Jez Butterworth
  • Brighton Fringe

Demolition expert Ned and his wife of eleven years live in a nice new house on a nice new estate. He loves his job, BBQs, car-boot sales. Outwardly his life is entirely unremarkable, like his friend and neighbour, Dale. So why has he not slept in six months? Why is he so terrified of his wife, Joy? Why do his things go missing? Is his mind playing tricks on him or is the ground really shifting beneath his feet? 'Parlour Song' is a black, hilarious exploration of deceit, paranoia and murderous desire.
