Paper Monkeys are a group of four young actors performing a hilarious tea-time sketch show.
Borrowing IKEA's uniforms and premises for an hour, they blow you away with a quick-fire series of witty adult sketches involving legends, gods and superheros.
It's great to find a show that's so well-written and well-acted, making it a pleasure to be dragged in to the Monkeys' strange little world. Where else will you see King Arthur and Queen Gwenevere having an extended domestic whilst searching for a new round table in IKEA?
Look out too for the chavettes in the lost-and-found department, fabulously rapping to a series of nursery rhymes, plus Tim Macavoy's drag Nigella in the cookware department who has be be obscene to be believed.
No flimsy flat-pack comedy here this is a robust, well put-together act which epitomises what a Fringe show should be: inventive, witty, slightly rude in parts, brilliantly acted, and a damn fine show overall. Catch it while you can, as it deserves to sell out.
