OOPS is a movement to be different, to stand up and make bold choices. The festival brings together exceptional contemporary performance and visual artists from all over the world, lifting the voice of the artist to the forefront in these unsettled times.
The festival is a place to talk, watch, taste, exchange, create, listen and move; for artists and audiences to build a sense of community and collectively reflect on what moves us now and what will move us in and towards the future.
Performances are presented and intersected by the Swallowsfeet Collective, a spirited alliance of five independent artists and performers, who are returning to The Old Market for their fourth year. After receiving over 540 proposals from all over the world, they have curated the best on offer for this exciting programme. OOPS Festival will inhabit an array of locations in our venue, bringing together genre-defying performances with collaborations across dance, visual design, music, technology and film.
