The diminutive doyennes of drag, No Tall Men, are back to bring you a one night only spectacular of Short Kings, Lanky Queens, and Average Peasants, all in the name of raising some money for Beat: The Uks eating disorder charity.
If we've learned one thing from tall men, it's that, whether you're dealing with doorframes, low bridges, or your own mental health, you've got to Mind Your Head.
Around 1.25 million people in the UK have an eating disorder. Anorexia has
the highest mortality rate of any psychiatric disorder, yet on average over
three years pass between the symptoms of an eating disorder emerging and
treatment starting. Eating disorders do discriminate, yet LGBTQIA+
individuals experience higher rates of eating disorders compared to their
heterosexual and cisgender peers. These illnesses steal childhoods, devastate
relationships and pull families apart. But, with the right treatment and
support, recovery is possible. Beat aims to end the pain caused by these
illnesses and ensure that as many people as possible are able to live in
freedom.
So grab your hard hat, get some money in your pockets, and get ready to duck as the #NoTallMen ladz (R Graham and Aiden Strickland) present 'Mind Your Head: A Queer Cabaret'.
