Selected from Sartre's existential drama, this piece immerses us in extreme, marginal states both narratively and physically. With an intensely abstract oriental aesthetic and virtuosic physical storytelling, we collectively explore themes of 'hell is other people' and human freedom. As the curtain rises, we find ourselves in this "hell", whether on stage or in the audience, trapped in a "cage". Characters onstage and off reflect each other, observed in the shadows. It reflects characters' extreme states, resonating in an interplay of Eastern and Western perspectives. Through interesting deconstruction, the play invites the audience to engage effortlessly.
