There are many ways of falling down the rabbit hole, and Christopher Wheeldon, along with his creative team, has devised an extravagant one. Since its 2011 premiere in London, his "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" has earned a reputation for its scintillating design, special effects and choreographic surprises. At the very least, it's a feast for the eyes. This excellent company from Toronto, which the Joyce Theater is presenting offsite at Lincoln Center, brings the big-budget ballet to New York for the first time.
