Exceptional young musicians from the Simn Bolvar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela come together for a chamber concert in the relaxed setting of The Hub.
The Simn Bolvar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela (formerly the Simn Bolvar Youth Orchestra) is one of Latin Americas greatest orchestras. Under its Music Director Gustavo Dudamel it tours to the worlds leading concert venues and festivals. Its members have received their training through Venezuelas music education programme El Sistema.
In this concert, a chamber ensemble of the orchestras talented musicians " aged from 18 to 25 " perform classical music from the Americas. The programme explores the inspirations of both European and local traditions on a range of Central and South American composers. The orchestras recordings and performances of Latin American orchestral music have been praised for their infectious, hardcore Latin spirit (Gramophone) and deemed top class (The Guardian). This chamber concert promises to be no less exciting.
