Jean-Luc Lagarce's beautiful, incantatory play is about a company of three performers who cling to art and shredded dignity as they hoof from stage to ever more pathetic stage. However dire the conditions, they will make their show work. What's frustrating about Zeljko Djukic's Tuta Theater Chicago production, however, is its failure to adapt to its perfectly serviceable space here. The cast is skilled, but the play isn't quite at full power (1:20).
