Leon Botstein and the adventurous American Symphony Orchestra present the latest installment in their series of obscure operas: offering a rare performance of Max von Schillings's 1915 "Mona Lisa." Inspired, of course, by the famous painting and set to a libretto by Beatrice von Dovsky, this opera traces a fictional story of the picture's theft and return, set to von Schillings's lyrical score. Mr. Botstein will lead a preconcert Q. and A. at 7 p.m.
