A story about a man in a quest to reconnect to his roots and reclaim the legacy of his ancestors. As a young boy he was constantly conflicted by questions his family couldn't answer, pertaining to who and what he was whilst challenged by adversity. This became the strut to his transformation into the man he wished to become. The narrative is illustrated by virtue of using his background in traditional form, being Xhosa and Bhaca dance forms as the language.'MNQUMA' is strongly married with original music compositions by Bongwana, Elvis Sibeko and No-Finish, a traditional Xhosa musician who achieved much recognition throughout her lifetime and regarded as the master of "uhadi" music.
