Mitzi Fitz's Babycakes (WIP)
  • London Fringe

In her 42 years in showbiz, Mitzi Fitz has seen and done it all. Tonight, shell bare all, in more ways than one Expect practical tips on breaking into the industry, behind-the-scenes insights into Hollywoods latest and greatest, and uncomfortably explicit descriptions of her ex-husband Larrys genitalia.

Come help the endlessly creative and subversive (Fringe Biscuit) Posey Mehta get one step closer to creating the perfect character comedy about fat bodies in Hollywood, in this work-in-progress that involves far more nudity and burlesque than youd ever see at a TedTalk.

Posey Mehta is an unhinged (Ed Fringe Review) newcomer to the alternative comedy and cabaret scenes. Their cult-hit comedy debut racked up multiple 5-star reviews to become the 22nd Highest Reviewed Comedy Show of last years Edinburgh Fringe (British Comedy Guide).

Mitzi has well and truly been around the block. You may have seen her at Riposte, Fool's Moon, the Enby Show or her very own Big Fat Cabaret. Now, The Glory has made the grave error of giving her a stage all to herself for an hour. Come see her make a tit of herself.

The Glory is not a fully accessible space.

To access the gender neutral toilets, you have to go up 3 steps. There is no accessible toilet at this venue, and the gender neutral toilets are not large enough to accommodate a wheelchair or larger mobility aid. To access the event, you have to go down a narrow flight of 12 stairs with a handrail, or alternatively 3 small flights of stairs that are easier to manage for stick users. At various points during the event, lighting will be low and noise levels may be high. The space in which the event is held gets hot, especially when full.We acknowledge this is by no means a comprehensive list. If you have specific access requirements, please get in touch and we can hopefully provide you with more information and accommodate them where possible.

Since you’re here…

… we have a small favour to ask. We don't want your money to support a hack's bar bill at Abattoir, but if you have a pound or two spare, we really encourage you to support a good cause. If this review has either helped you discover a gem or avoid a turkey, consider doing some good that will really make a difference.

You can donate to the charity of your choice, but if you're looking for inspiration, there are three charities we really like.

Mama Biashara
Kate Copstick’s charity, Mama Biashara, works with the poorest and most marginalised people in Kenya. They give grants to set up small, sustainable businesses that bring financial independence and security. That five quid you spend on a large glass of House White? They can save someone’s life with that. And the money for a pair of Air Jordans? Will take four women and their fifteen children away from a man who is raping them and into a new life with a moneymaking business for Mum and happiness for the kids.

Theatre MAD
The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
