A thought-provoking exploration into the nature of communication and consent. The story follows Michaela, a young woman with a fatal brain tumour. She is offered the chance to have life-saving surgery. The surgery does indeed save her life, however it leaves Michaela with a condition that strips her of language: fluent aphasia. What follows is an unrelenting ethical dilemma as we follow Michaelas recovery. What is saving a life worth? What are the risks when love morphs into control?
