Jim Rodde conducts this choir and the New York City Chamber Orchestra in Vaughan Williams's 1936 cantata "Dona Nobis Pacem," in which the composer uses texts by Walt Whitman and the liturgy to make a plea for peace. The conductors Julie Yu and Joshua Oppenheim lead the National Festival Chorus in three rousing classics: Lowry's "How Can I Keep From Singing?," David Dickau's "If Music Be the Food of Love" and the traditional spiritual "My Soul's Been Anchored in the Lord."
