DOCTOR WHO QUIZ AT THE RVT

FOR CABARET VS CANCER

THURSDAY 24TH APRIL

WITH EXTRA SPECIAL GUEST KATY MANNING

If you know your Silurans from your Sontarons, Adipose from Axons and exactly who Harriet Jones is, then this is the quiz for you!

Whether you been a fan since the TARDIS first materialised in a 1960's London junkyard or just since Ncuti picked up his sonic, there really is something for everyone, this evening is more than just a quiz, it's most definitely bigger on the inside.

The quiz will be written and hosted, by writers and mega fans, Beth Axford and Richard Unwin. Beth is the author of the 2022 Doctor Who Quiz Book, and Richard has recently appeared on stage in Manchester as DW legend John Nathan-Turner, both Beth and Richard are on the writing staff for Doctor Who Magazine.

PLUS joining Richard and Beth on stage for something quite special will be the one and only, KATY MANNING, yes, the actual Jo Grant/Jones, companion to John Pertwee's third Doctor, star of many Big Finish audio adventures, countless conventions, The Sarah Jane Adventures with Matt Smith and Liz Sladen and more recently seen in The Power of the Doctor and Tales of the Tardis.

IMPORANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ:

As with flying the TARDIS, the quiz is designed for teams, we recommend between three and seven people per team, but smaller or larger are welcome, and if you want to fly solo, that's also fine. THIS IS IMPORTANT, once you have bought your tickets, please email [email protected] and tell us your team name and details, eg, who else is on your team if your members have bought their own tickets etc. This means we can allocate the correct space for you on the night.

Advance tickets are 9 each, plus booking fee. Tickets are limited, don't miss out!

There will be six themed rounds of questions on the night.

Doors at 7pm, quiz starts at 8pm.

All money from the tickets will be going to every Timelord's favourite charity, Cabaret vs Cancer, plus there will be a raffle with some pretty amazing prizes and other chances for you to donate on the night. You can find out more about the charity here https://www.cabaretvscancer.co.uk/

ALL BAGS AND COATS MUST BE CHECKED IN ON THE NIGHT.

The RVT is an LGBTQ+ venue, please respect our space.

If you have accessibility requirements please email [email protected]

Since you’re here…

… we have a small favour to ask. We don't want your money to support a hack's bar bill at Abattoir, but if you have a pound or two spare, we really encourage you to support a good cause. If this review has either helped you discover a gem or avoid a turkey, consider doing some good that will really make a difference.

You can donate to the charity of your choice, but if you're looking for inspiration, there are three charities we really like.

Mama Biashara
Kate Copstick’s charity, Mama Biashara, works with the poorest and most marginalised people in Kenya. They give grants to set up small, sustainable businesses that bring financial independence and security. That five quid you spend on a large glass of House White? They can save someone’s life with that. And the money for a pair of Air Jordans? Will take four women and their fifteen children away from a man who is raping them and into a new life with a moneymaking business for Mum and happiness for the kids.

Theatre MAD
The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Acting For Others
