Marrano, a Tale From the Inquisition is a tragedy based on two historical events: the expulsion of the Sephardic Jews at the end of the 15th century and, consequentially, the murder of the High Inquisitor of the Crown of Aragon, Pedro de Arbus. Marrano tells the story of Uriel, a Jew born in 15th century Seville, whose life turns upside down when the Inquisition arrives in the city. A creation where gestural work, live music and words become the protagonists. A physical and avant-garde language that approaches our history from an innovative theatrical perspective.
