A dance-theatre piece that explores Mary Magdalene's misused and conflated identity. The sum of vague references in the Bible, as well as a blatant decision to confound all other Marys mentioned, resulted in multiple versions of Mary of Magdalas story: none of them true. Maria explores the iconic symbol and vital half of the ever-relevant Madonna/Wh*re trope that has defined and dictated femininity. Sex worker, devoted wife, holy disciple or completely out of her mind?

The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
